I’m pretty sure heaven is going to be full of keyboard synthesizer.
Today was a great day in Eswatini! We started with a slow morning (which if you’ve ever been on a Swazi team is a massive gift!) We then visit Hlane Royal Game Park and spent some time together as a team, chatting, enjoying the hot weather and a little ice cream. Then the team headed our seperate ways – with one group headed back to Lubombo North for another night of revivals at Myangombili and with another team headed to Lubomobo South to worship and bible study at a weekend retreat with 3 combined churches – Vovovo, Mkhaya, and Edamu.

At the revival at Myangombili last night, an older lady was saved and a man came forward who was drinking marula (homemade alcoholic brew) and wanted to be saved. Praise God for these new souls in Christ!
In Vovovo, we saw 150+ people praising, dancing, singing, playing, worshipping our savior. It was hot and loud and fun and all joy! We praise God for our friends in Christ!
I have a complicated relationships with keyboards after many years in Eswatini. For those of you who have not joined us on a trip, let me paint a picture. Imagine a 1990s keyboard set to the synthesizer tone and then turned up to maximum volume. And by maximum volume, I mean the mics and the keyboard are blown out and screechy. IT IS LOUD, painfully so. Deafening really (I keep getting Apple Watch notifications about loud environments! 🙂 )
And the Swazis LOVE it that way.
But last night, as the praises were high and weather was hot and the sound was maxed, I thought to myself – this is what heaven is going to be like.

All of us together, praising, singing, dancing, worshipping at the feet of our God for eternity. Every tribe, every nation, every tongue.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” (Revelation 7:9-10)
I’m pretty sure heaven is going to be full of keyboard synthesizer because it’s going to be full of the praises of this people.
Standing at the back of that big yellow and white tent last night (which your generous donations provided!) I was filled with the joy that this is what heaven is going to be like. The multitudes all together with their hearts standing before the throne, praising our Savior at max volume. It’s going to be deafening. This tent is Vovovo is a pretty good start.
