Join Us & Celebrate Swaziland

Join us in celebration of our Swazi friends visiting America and the rich 25+ year history of the Swaziland Partnership. Dinner (business casual) with presentation to follow. You may reserve your seat online without the need for a ticket below. Additionally, you may purchase tickets at the office of First Baptist Church of Washington, NC. 

Travel & Accommodation Arrangements

Airports/Trains

There are two airports within a 2.5 hour drive of Washington, NC. The largest is RDU, or Raleigh-Durham International, a 2.5 hour drive.  To learn more about RDU, click here.  

If you would like to fly in closer, there is PGV in Greenville, NC which is about a 30 minute drive from Washington. To learn more about PGV, click here

Additionally, an Amtrak station is available in Wilson, NC, about a 1 hour drive from Washington. To learn more, click here

Hotels & Accommodations

Two major hotel chains are available in Washington, a Hampton Inn owned by Hilton, and a Fairfield Inn owned by Marriott. Rates typically run between $100-$120 a night. 

You may also be interested in staying in a local bed & breakfast on the waterfront, such as the Elmwood 1820 or the Pamlico House. Rates typically run between $110-$125 for these properties. 

You may also choose to stay outside of town in Greenville, NC, a 30-45 minute drive from Washington. There are many hotels available in Greenville at different price points.

During dinner, you will have the opportunity to browse our silent auction items, which include various items from Swaziland and Southern Africa & many of Jimmy Moore’s photographs, framed and matted. 

Be sure to bring your checkbook with you to pay for your items at the end of the evening!
